Introducing "PIAS"

PIAS is an abbreviation of the "Pasai Institute for Advanced Study" (Alternative Patronage for Achinese Academy of Sciences), supported by Societas Scientiarum Sumatrana ("SSS"), Cosmoscopia Club International (CCI) & selected partnerships with special support afforded by e-Transcer Corner (eTC), Universitaetsstadt Marburg & Curatorial Trust Club (CTC) of the Malikussaleh University.

Our Mission

To reconstruct a comprehensive compendium, by sharing selective interdisciplinary & visionary discourses to the "Sumatran complexity of phenomena or noumena": in the past, present & future tendencies (trends), etc.

Profile

PIAS is an institution of independent scholars, researchers and creative people and is responsilble to the "Societas Scientiarum Sumatrana" or "SSS" ("Society of Sumatran Sciences") in the European exile headquarters in exile ("In Exilium").

PIAS was firstly initiated by phenomenologist & polyhistor Mai Dar during his academic activities in Europe. His main aim is to provide "intellectual leadership for a better understanding of the Sumatran Pasai in the global academic interactions".

The primary objective of the PIAS is to promote learning and research in the interdisciplinary critical contributions to the "Sumatran phenomena or noumena": in history or past and present tendencies (trends). Codification of continual projects such as "Legatum Sumatranum, Bibliographica Sumatrana, Encyclopedia Pasaica Sumatrana, Intelligentia Pasaica Achinica, Diaspora Pasaica Achinica", etc. An International Advisory Council will be appointed by PIAS in coopretion with partners and the "Societas Scientiarum Sumatrana" or "Society of Sumatran Sciences" or ("SSS") to organize an annual meeting to discuss the relevant interactions of institutional members, fellows, friends, supporters, partners and others.

The PIAS and partners could provide a compass for orienting the activities and programmes; seeking to pursue in partnership with governmental and non-governmental organizations, public and private-sector institutions and likeminded associations both regionally and internationally.

PIAS is prepared to serve the members by mobilizing them in open discussion and debate, to advance "critical knowledge", encourage integrated interdisciplinary understandings and address issues that are critical to "Achinese Pasai Sumatran phenomena or noumena and their significant influences" in the region, continental sites & the globe as parts of the universal civilization .
